Water sports are offered on many beaches from the tame to the daring and large hotels also provide a range of equipment to add to your enjoyment of the beach.
Pedalos are available to rent from most chiringuitos and some offer dolphin safaris and jet skis for hire.
The adrenalin seekers among you can try water skiing or Para surfing on the most commercial beaches. If you can’t see your chosen water sport on the beach you may have to go elsewhere. Ask at the chiringuito for information about where other sports may be found.
You won’t see many people emerging from the waves wearing diving gear and shouting with excitement about the amazing underwater world of the Costa del Sol. However, if no trip is complete without a dive, your best bet would probably be a wreck dive and PADI courses are available for those who wish to learn or improve diving skills.
Surfers and windsurfers head south to Tarifa where strong winds whip up the waves and produce perfect surfing conditions.
